Elijah began tutoring Spanish with Antioch College’s Foreign Languages program in 2013. Since then he’s conducted research in Nicaragua on the history of a sugarcane cutting community, and tutored all ages in the subject with Varsity Tutors. Elijah’s educational philosophy is to get students up to a level of proficiency where they can communicate at a basic level and enjoy movies, and let the natural will to understand take things from there. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world, and a comparatively easy language to approach from English. There’s no reason for self-directed learners not to give themselves the life long advantage of bilingualism.
